CHENEY Is President-Bush Is His Puppet
Sunday :: Jun 24, 2007
President in All But Name

by Mary
George W Bush likes to think of himself as President, but he truly is only the figurehead. As it is becoming increasingly clear, Dick Cheney is operating as President in all but name.

....Cheney has deemed himself above all laws that ordinary people must follow and he has done this by working his dark magic to convince the president in name to issue edicts that subvert our Constitution and our government.

And almost assuredly, nothing flows out to Bush except what Cheney wants to flow to him. Bush, being incurious and a vain man, doesn't realize he is being played because Cheney knows how to shape what he hears and to get from Bush whatever Cheney wants.

Using secrecy and deceit, Cheney has created a monster of unaccountable and illegitimate power. What is even more telling is that after 9/11, Cheney betrayed his own advice about how not to make policy.

...........................

When Cheney has gone back into that black hole he climbed out of, this country will need a long and through inquiry into the pathologies of our country and how the Republican Party became so corrupted to allow someone like Cheney through his puppet, Bush, to be given the power to subvert our Constitution in such a manner.

2. I think the position is shared by Karl Rove and Cheney, Rove more than Cheney.
Everything is done for political reason, and Rove runs that show.

5. Remember the man shot somebody in the face after drinking in a "accident" ..
... and then waited until 18 hours later to talk to the local police. In Ohio
a shooting accident while hunting gets you the local sherrif, the Dept of Natural
Resources Division of Wildlife, and the State highway Patrol if the shot effected
traffic. But not Dick Cheney in TX, hell the Son of a Bitch blamed the bad publicity
on the fact that he didn't tell the "big boys in the news biz" but told it to a local
small town paper. George W bush didn't talk to Cheney for 3 days after he almost
killed a man. Because if Cheney was not traveling with part of the Mayo Clinic 24/7
old Mr. Wittingham would have gone in shock and died.

HE IS LAW ONTO HIMSELF.

9. and "his shot" defied the laws of physics and hunting manners.
Edited on Sun Jun-24-07 05:02 PM by Botany
1) Cheney said that the man was 30 yds away = 90 feet and the bird went up
a. The shot could not have done that much damage @ 30 yds .... small bird shot
is made to lose it's energy very fast .... a b.b. went through Whittington's
hunting vest, his coat, his shirt, (t-shirt ????), his chest wall and muscle and lodged in his heart.
Please!!!!
b. The pattern of the choke is too tight to be @ 30 yds .... the shot would have dispersed to
wider pattern .... google the old lawyer's face.
c. Even if Dick had the gun @ a .5 degree of elevation the path of the shot would be well over
the victim's head @ 30 yds.
d. If a bird flushes behind you .... YOU LET IT GO!

But Cheney did go on Fox and explained it all perfectly.

11. "White House Subpoenaed" Week, and Viola, the spotlight shifts to Cheney.
Edited on Sun Jun-24-07 11:00 PM by L. Coyote
I'm supposed to fall for this crap? Not gonna happen! I wasn't born in a turnip patch!

Who authorized the Invasion of Iraq? BUSH

Who authorized the illegal spying? BUSH

Who authorized the USA firings? BUSH

Who got the subpoenas this week? The White House.

Where are all the staffers resigning? The White House, and aides to former White House Counsel Gonzales.

Get a grip Mary, you are looking under the wrong bush for the Decider!
And the timing is so convenient, just when the subpoena river begins to flow.

And the beefs with Cheney are? Spying on employees. Oh yeah, that gets the boss impeached every time.

Can we return to REAL impeachable offenses now?

12. W is a bigger wimp than his Dad.
Near the end of Poppy's term a Newsweek (or Time) cover had a picture of Poppy Bush with the words "The Wimp Factor." They say that helped firm up the opinion held by many that Daddy Bush was a wimp and helped Clinton beat him.

W with his cowboy boots, clearing brush and shouting with a bull horn, an electronic hook up during the debates etc. is really a wimp like his dad. He watched his mom bully his dad all those years and now he doesn't know how to stand up to the big Dick.

Where's Shakespeake now that we need him. (Or is this more like a Greek tragedy with the chorus of pundits in Washington tell Bush how manly he is while the evil Cheney pulls all the strings?)
