Massachusetts Democrats handed out flip-flops outside of Romney fundraiser today

The Massachusetts Democratic Party handed out hundreds of pairs of flip-flop summer sandals today outside a Romney fundraiser at Fenway park to highlight Romney’s turnabout on key issues such as abortion and gay rights. Deep-pocketed Romney supporters were besmirching the hallowed ballpark with their attendance whilst attending a barbecue on the field.

Tomorrow, the the flip-flop distribution will continue outside yet another Romney fundraiser at TD Banknorth Garden. Romney has made no secret of his disdain for the Commonwealth he once governed, yet he evidently has no problem using its sporting venues to raise dough.

"Mitt has a longstanding tradition of poking fun at Massachusetts, and we thought we’d join in the fun," said Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman John Walsh.
