Conyers, very concerned and looking into VP: A Law Unto Himself
You may have been following the Washington Post's piece on the vice-president's interpretation of his office that leaves him outside executive branch oversight. I am very concerned about this and will be looking into this matter closely.

If you haven't seen these articles, you should read Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.

Maureen Dowd also wrote a great op-ed on the subject yesterday.

8. Nope -- you can keep her
or vote her out next time!

He's not mine anyway, but I am proud that he's from Michigan.

9. We did vote her out but .....
... Ohio and votes .... not so much.

Mary Jo Kilroy had a 12+ point lead, Pryce had never polled above 44%, and Fox News
exit polls had called it for Kilroy by 4points @ 8:30 PM on election night. Then Pyrce
got 50.1% of the vote and was re-elected.

6. No vice-president is above the law!
The vice-president works for the American people so there should be oversight in his affairs that relate to the American people. If the vice-president feels he is above oversight than he should not be working for or being paid by the American people.

7. And why are we expecting Conyers to DO anything about this?
He is abiding by Pelosi's wishes to keep impeachment off the table. So what can we reasonably expect him to do after he looks into this matter closely?

12. Mr. Conyers, in the aftermath of the 2004 election steal, Your brave
talk gave many of us our brightest hope. However, since our votes have actually given you the power to act decisively, you have done nothing but backpedal. Brave talk is no longer enough. Make us proud again.
