Doesn't it just need fifty one.

So what if Bush/Cheney threatens to veto. Let them veto. At least it will appear to the people that the Senate is doing something other than the Dems presenting bills and the GOPers saying no Bush/Cheney will veto.

Any outrage by the Democrats? Shouts of "upperdown vote"? Anger? Loud press conferences by Democratic Senators with exclamations of disgust at the strong-arm tactics by the minority party who colluded to hurt American workers?

If we don't see fireworks over this, perhaps we should press for new leadership in the Senate.
