Why conservatives must remain in Iraq
They haven't won yet. Not that they have a definition of victory, but they know the present picture doesn't fit the worldview. More than ever, conservatives are calling for a gloves-off approach. + or - 650,000 dead is for them, nothing. They are demanding a bloodbath of historic proportions. What stands in the way of the carnage they lust for is a bunch of liberal politicians and anti-war faggots.

The real battle for them is for "their" America to stomp the crap out of those Al Queada-Saddamist-insurgents-sadrite-islamo-arab-nomadic-non-western lowlife scum. The alternative means; those Al Queada-Saddamist-insurgents-sadrite-islamo-arab-nomadic-non-western lowlife scum beat the largest, most advanced military on the planet. Conservatives love the military. It's the only part of being taxed that they gladly comply.

3. After Middle East . . . world domination . . .

I'm not saying that all of the Republicans understand this -- many do --
but there's little opposition to the very obvious agenda having turned very openly fascist/imperialistic --
in fact, on the imperialistic side . . . some are quite proud!

I think from what Barbara Boxer said the other day about this being "about as close as we've ever come to a dictatorship" . . . indicates that not all of the Democrats are totally naive about where the GOP express train is headed -- on the other hand, many may be.

I found most of the support for attacking Iraq very hard to think of as based on their belief in Iraq having WMD -- and thus rather unbelievable. I got the feeling they didn't have the confidence however in the public to see thru the sham!!!

Obviously, if you want to hold onto your dictatorship and increase your powers you cannot let go of "Commander in Chief" in wartime. That's essential because that's the cover behind which all the real stealing of $ and rights goes on.

4. Fine.
We should round up all the conservatives and send them to Iraq to stay until they win.

Problem solved.

5. They don't love the military...
... they love how powerful the military vicariously makes them. They live their whole life in fear of something (terrorists, blacks, hispanics, gays, etc.) and having a strong military lets them feel like they have some real control over the world that scares them.
