precisely because AC is, as you say, a real journalist. I just read Dispatches from the Edge, and I was very impressed with his style and substance. The man's got integrity as well as intelligence, and he doesn't seem to be afraid to call bullshit on people who deserve it. I applaud him for that, but I also think it means that Bush, Cheney, et al. are going to steer well clear of him. Just my $0.02.
