HAHAHAHAHHA! - Libby's Lawyers blame Karl Rove!!!!!
Edited on Tue Jan-23-07 01:54 PM by Cheney Killed Bambi
WASHINGTON — Attorneys for former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby said Tuesday that Bush administration officials tried to blame him for the leak of a CIA operative's name to cover up for presidential adviser Karl Rove's own disclosures.

<snip>

Attorney Theodore Wells, in the opening statements of Libby's perjury trial, said Libby went to Cheney in 2003 and complained that the White House was subtly blaming him for leaking Valerie Plame's identity to columnist Robert Novak.

"They're trying to set me up. They want me to be the sacrificial lamb," Wells said, recalling the conversation between Libby and Cheney. "I will not be sacrificed so Karl Rove can be protected."

14. I can't believe it. Makes me wonder if they knew it was gonna be like this.
Shouldn't they spare the country the horror and resign?

4. Hmmm, the "circle jerk" of blame?
Libby blames Rove, Rove blames Cheney, Cheney blames Libby. Wait, Rove would never blame Cheney.

8. It's funny, I keep popping over to Freerepublic to see if there's ...
any reaction to what's going on and they seem to be totally oblivious. Oh well they can't ignore the news forever. Impeachment is practically unavoidable now.

10. For Cheney, anyway
I expect that after the trial is over, there will be a House investigation into the matter.

9. I hope Libby's lawyers will not muddy
the waters so much the jury will not know what to do. I know everyone but Libby will be blamed by his lawyers. That whole white house crew is guilty of one thing or another but I hope the truth comes out.
