This letter is addressed to President Bush.
In the beginning, I voted for you. And, after 9/11, I agreed with your rhetoric with regard to Iraq.
Since that time, however, both various and numerous media revelations have made it undeniably clear that our invasion of Iraq was nothing more than an imperialistic sham.
As a result of all of this, I not only voted straight Democratic this time around, I also now stand with the vast majority of Americans who do believe you lied and deceived this nation with regard to invading Iraq.
Furthermore, I now find that it is beyond outrage that Congress permitted you to exploit your authority, sacrifice the limbs and lives of not only the members of our military but also the innocent in Iraq, who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Death, destruction and corruption – baneful beyond belief!
To sum it all up and, assuming that it is indeed a fact that you and your administration did knowingly and intentionally deceive this nation with regard to Iraq, I am of the opinion that you should not only be impeached, but also charged with treason and war crimes.
Unfortunately, however, I do not foresee our “go along to get along” Congress having the ethical fortitude to act in such a most noble and deserving effort.
Incidentally, I support our military 100 percent.
