Edwards is sending BIG Constitution and petition to resign to Gonzo ....
http://johnedwards.com/action/sign-petitions/gonzales

Edwards has an online petition for you to sign, and leave a personal message from you to be printed on a copy of the Constitution they will deliver to Gonzo's Office. ANd if they get 25,000 they will sent a BIG copy of the Constitution to Gonzo with all the names on it.

No better way to make sure Gonzo gets the message that he should RESIGN.

1. I want more than resignation, I want investigation.
Not a bad stunt, but he should've done it months ago.

6. "Stunt" ?? "...he should've done it months ago." You can't have it both ways.
Would you be happier if this had been recommended by HRC or BO or DK?

7. I don't understand what you think is mutually exclusive about what you quoted.
It's a political stunt with no real consequence if it doesn't shame, intimidate or convince the target to change their position. That's not likely to happen, as evidenced, and now is the time for impeachment, not calls for resignation which, as I said, should've been done months ago.

8. Not a fair reading of "Not a bad stunt, but he should've done it months ago"
It sounded like you were criticizing the actions of Edwards as a 'stunt' and in the same breath saying he should have done this months ago.

That would be 'inconsistent' and 'contradictory logic' without further explanation.

10. "Stunt" is not by default derogatory, and a stunt is what it is.
Neither is criticism a bad thing, needing your defense from it. So, your assumption that your position based on assumptions is somehow logical is puzzling. But, I enjoy your incorrect commentary.

12. Your use of the word "stunt" definitely carried a negative connotation...
And so there is no misunderstanding regarding connotation, you might want to read definition 2. below:

Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1) - Cite This Source
con·no·ta·tion /ˌkɒnəˈteɪʃən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. an act or instance of connoting.
2. the associated or secondary meaning of a word or expression in addition to its explicit or primary meaning: A possible connotation of “home” is “a place of warmth, comfort, and affection.” Compare denotation (def. 1).
3. Logic. the set of attributes constituting the meaning of a term and thus determining the range of objects to which that term may be applied; comprehension; intension.

I find your your characterization of "(my) position" not only inaccurate but incomprehensible. I do not 'assume' that '(my) position' is based on 'assumptions.' I know what my position is, therefore I have no reason to assume that I am assuming anything.

Further, commentary is usually referred to as either accurate or inaccurate, or supported or unsupported by the facts and evidence. I do not recall a previous instance in which 'commentary' was characterized as 'inaccurate'.

9. Gonzo's resignation should not provide cover for other
high crimes and misdemeanors. He's just the water carrier - a dope. The ringleaders need to be prosecuted.
