Is there any chance that our "surge" will be the victim of a Sunni
Shiite collaboration? I think that they would put aside the civil war with this opportunity to attack the invaders.

Just sayin'

1. Oh, yea. It's going to be very dangerous, lots more people will die, on both
sides, the point will be made, people will be dead, and the blivet will be that much closer to the end of his failed presidency, unless our elected leaders thwart him, shut him down, shut him up!

2. We will take fire from both. But I don't think they will collaborate.
The hatred between them runs THAT deep. But if they did it would be a huge improvement to the sectarian relationships. I wouldn't put it past Bush to use other peoples kids as a pork chop tied around the sunni's and shia's necks to get them to play with each other. What happened to Bush's plan about him, Laura, the kids, and the dog? LMAO like he could ever get Barney to follow him anywhere. Well one of those two is a natural born leader. Unfortunately for us it's Barney.

4. Will the Sunnis and Shiites decide that they hate the
US/UK Occupation more than they hate each other?

6. Zero percent chance
The main reason they're attacking us now is that we're in the way of the civil war. When we removed Saddam, that put the Sunnis out of power for the first time in 80 years, and they're fighting to get it back. The Shiites are fighting to keep from being put back in the janitor class. And we're in the way.

The "surge" is largely a PR concoction. We had more people in Iraq in November 2005 than we'll have in May when the surge is complete.

Either way, we're going to be starting to pull out in a big way by this fall. Either the Iraqi government will be able to take over security in a moderately governable country, and Bush can claim we won, or we'll be retreating. We're gone, either way.

7. Busholini will announce that the Iraqi Govt and Iran
refuse to stop the violence in Iraq and that the US will re-locate to the Kurdish areas. This is where the oil will be harvested.

10. I thought this
With commander shit for brains in charge it wouldn't be too hard to lead our troops into a nicely planned trap. We already have gunmen in US UNIFORMS attacking our troops. Where do you suppose they could get those?
