Did you hear that Harry Reid said he will not accommodate the traveling schedules of the candidates
running for President? He said it. "They are Senators first and Presidential candidates second." He was asked the question directly by a reporter. Looks like all the candidates will either miss many votes or will be spending all their time flying in and out of DC in order to be in the Senate to vote.:) Reid didn't hesitate with his answer either. I heard this on C-SPAN this morning....no link.

4. Frist didn't, either. He scheduled votes specifically to mess with the candidates.
I am sure Reid wouldn't go that far.

5. He's absolutely right, too!
"They are Senators first and Presidential candidates second."

It's so refreshing to have a leader with his "head screwed on straight" and his "priorities in the right order".

:applause: for you Mr. Reid!

7. Good for Harry! Those Sens know whenimportant votes are going
to take place, and they better get their behinds back to DC to be there!

That's also going to mean a lot of charter flights I would think. It's VERY HARD to get from a lot of places in a short time while flying commercial. That hub and spoke thing, ya know. Then those damn Dems went and passed that new law forbidding us to declare the commercial price ticket and have to claim the full charter costs!

Damn, it's a rough life, huh!

15. He's right on and in sync w/the American people. Their JOB is Senator, they're getting paid
for being a SENATOR, and should actually work as one. How many of us can look for another job openly while being paid at work, especially missing important deadlines because of it. Tell them to enjoy this taste of reality. There is much to be done and we need FULL TIME Senators doing it as best they can.

PS - on second thought, if lots of Repukes want to miss votes....
