U.S. Senate to America: Sorry, folks, the Constitution doesn't really mean what it says.
They earlier decided that the writ of Habeas Corpus, which is clearly delineated in the law of the land, doesn't really exist. They are also preparing to fuck our troops by defeating the eminently reasonable Webb amendment. CNN is already reporting that "Congress backs repeal of habeas corpus". Soon it will be "Congress denies time off for troops." This will doubtless be accompanied by reports of the abysmal approval rating for Congress in general. Here's the problem ... IT'S NOT FUCKING CONGRESS, IT'S THE REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS! It was the Republicans who single-handedly did away with habeas corpus. It will be the Republicans who give the back of their hands to the troops.
When will the press wake up to the fact that while the American people don't approve of the job Congress is doing, they also fucking well know where to lay the blame?

2. It's the REPUBLICANS in Congress, and the MEDIA in America for not reporting
that it's the REPUBLICANS in Congress. The media continues to cover for the GOP, instead of laying the blame firmly at their doorstep where it belongs.

4. ok. That CNN report is why they should not have given up. They should have
gone through the filibuster, and voted over and over again. I am very happy to see all Dems vote the right way though. That is a first.

5. I know Kucinich has been very vocal about the constitution...
have the other mainstream candidates been as vocal? It worries me that we may vote in a candidate that doesn't take the attack on the constitution seriously, it could get much worse if we do. I would like to see what the other candidates have been saying.
