25. Laura might look good in teal-- a deep turquoise--that's "in" now.

I would suggest a longer, less fitted jacket in a light-weight teal wool, pared with tailored black slacks also in a light-weight wool. A colorful blouse or scarf would be the finishing touch.

If she wears slacks, she wouldn't risk a boo-boo on national TV. Otherwise, I would recommend a skirt for the SOTU for a first lady. It is a rather formal occasion.

Fitted hot-pink just doesn't do it for Laura.
