The word of the day is conflict.

Bush squared off against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the UN today, and over poor children's health care funding in the US Congress. How can Monkey Man express righteous indignation over the UN's record on human rights and simultaneously attempt to prevent millions of American children from receiving health care? Can you say . . . hypocrisy?

In Detroit the UAW is fighting GM for in the union’s first general strike against a US automaker in decades, and the Supreme Court will consider the constitutionality of lethal injection.

Mike is right on the money - I have fired off a few mails over the last year to news outlets about the very subject he was just talking about. Ahmadinejad should be skewered for actions (such as his regime's treatment of gays or the press in Iran), not words, and especially not words attributed to him that were never actually said.

I have been in a running battle with Talk Host John Rothman of KGO where he has been touting the mistranslation in his effort to demonise Iran and its rather stupid leader (in the mould of Bush).

I emailed John, with a copy to Mike, asking him to listen to the last 10 minutes of Mike's first hour and the second hour of today.

But as I said in the email - a blinkered horse does not know he is blinkered.

Even the Orthodox Jew had to accept what Mike said - Mike is such a fund of knowledge and superb in his handling of subjects that he has remained the No. 1 Talk Show Host in my Ratings from Day 1!

But then I am talking to Mandatory Malloyers, so there is no need to push this point! :-)

Dexter survived his little-boy-kitty operation (got through it with ease). He has been eating and drinking (and eliminating waste) well; but, he hasn't completely returned to his total obnoxiousness. He's become a purring lapsitter. Should I be concerned (HeeHee)? My husband just relieved my anxiety. Apparently, he did smack Coco in the head last night; now, that's my Dex! Unfortunately, for him, she chased his hiney throughout the house (there's been a power-shift, apparently).
