Five Dems In Iowa Agree: "No" To Single Payer System
DAVENPORT, IA - In a debate sponsored by one of the nation's leading private insurance sales organizations, AARP, five Democratic presidential candidates unanimously voiced opposition to a single payer national health plan, Medicare for All. The only presidential candidate to author such a plan, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, was not invited to the debate, despite the fact that he has run ahead of or even with three of the five candidates on the stage in Iowa.

"They all decry the plight of the American people and then they turn around and promote the very system which is driving people towards ill physical and economic health, bankruptcy and death: the for-profit health insurance system," said Kucinich. "They do not believe they can get a consensus for change in Congress, yet there was no demonstration of any intention to change the system, despite the fact that 47,000,000 Americans have no health insurance and another 50,000,000 are underinsured."

"There is a national movement in support of HR 676 backed by tens of thousands of physicians, hundreds of union locals and community groups, 77 members of Congress and many state political organizations," said Kucinich.

4. ?? DK is spinning a bit - his is only true single payer - but Clinton/Edwards push an "alternative
Medicare plan like option", and

Richardson extends Medicare down to 55.

5. A conservative Republican runs AARP.

William Novelli, a Nixon friend, who also helped create the Harry and Louise ads, runs AARP.

The Democratic party appears infected with and controlled by Republicans like William Novelli and his organization.

I'm considering switching my vote from John Edwards to Dennis Kucinich as a protest vote.

I already called the DSCC and the DNC today and told them I will not donate money until congress repeals Medicare Part D and puts the drug benefit in part B without extra premiums, deductibles, coverage gaps and means tests.

I also require that congress removes the means test for Medicare part B that the Republicans snuck into the Medicare law.

I also require that congress pass a $10/hr minimum wage and also to end the war in Iraq.

I will not donate money until those aboe conditions happen.

Freepers appear upset that the Republiklan party has done nothing about immigration and I have seen a fake currency made by freepers for them to send to the RNC to emphasize this lack of action.

The difference between the freepers and what I won't donate about appears that the freepers get mad based upon their bigotry and I get annoyed about the mistreatment of elderly and retired middle class people and working people by the officials in the freepers party in opposition to the real concerns progressives have whereas freepers suffer from the princess and the pea syndrome about immigrants.

6. Cocksucking traitors.
How much did the insurance lobby them to push for mandatory unaffordable insurance as a "solution" to the health care crisis instead of HR 676? I hope it was a good price. I'd hate to think those quislings sold us out for cheap.
