The Kyl-Lieberman amendment on Iran was not voted on today. ThinkProgress has a statement by Harry Reid saying it is being revised and he currently neither supports nor opposes it.

Carah Ong has what appears to be the amendment's current language. The changes are small and essentially meaningless in terms of slowing the momentum toward war it would create. All they would do is provide cover for Senators like Reid to vote for it.

5. I'm not real clear either, but last night

on the Senate Floor, Harry Reid said something like if we can't bring up Biden's amendment, then we're not bringing up the Kyle/Lieberman amendment. Sounds like they're trying to do some negotiating, but I do know that nothing got done in the Senate at all yesterday. Waiting for the start of the Senate today to see what Harry Reid says the schedule will be for today.

But I'm not sure I like negotiating an Iraq amendment for an Iran Amendment.

6. Harry Reid said this morning that they still had not

reached agreement on the Biden and Kyle amendments, and that he would let the Senators know when they did and what time the votes would be.

Right now, they are still in Morning Business.

bidet amendment is about as bad as the kyl/lieberman thing... who the hell does he think he is that can decide the future of Iraq... i think its up to the Iraqis... not Joe.

There was 2 minutes allowed for debate. Both sides yielded back their time. So far I have 17 Repukes voting AYE. Russ Feingold voted No. Hagel just voted NO.
