Turns out that the "General Betray Us" report has been given carte blanche by the Senate, despite the fact that the Bush administration wrote it and stuffed it into Petraeus' hand. The Senate has given Herr Decider an inch, and you and I both know he's going to take a mile.

Maybe we didn't hand Herr Decider a gun, but we handed him a receiver, slide, trigger, handgrips, and a magazine chock full of bullets. All he needs is a little time and a handful of rivets, and he's got a gun anyway.
