Clinton interview excerpt on the Situation Room...
...they just had a brief bit from an interview that will be aired tonight (sorry I'm having a senior moment, can't remember who the interview is with), where Bill Clinton remarked on the ridiculous faux outrage at the moveon.org amendment. He was on fire, pointing out the smears on Cleland and Kerry...

And the commentary? It was all about, is this good or bad for Hillary's campaign. NO remarks whatsoever on the merits.

Of course.

Nevertheless -- it was great to see Bill come out with such a strong statement on this issue.

1. Well after his charming wife's vote today he has to do something!
How is it the Clinton's can be so upset about the Move-ON censure and then Hillary can vote for "war" (or implicate war) with Iran?( I realize it was NOT a vote to go to war or to authrorize it per se) Talk about talking out of both sides of your mouth!

2. Okay, so let's just analyze everything...
...purely for its political impact and not on the merits.

Bill was passionate about the hypocrisy, pointing out (as we at DU have, over and over again) how the Republics' near-worship of all things military ends whenever the patriotic American war hero is a Democrat. I for one would like to see more of that passion, not less of it.

FWIW I am not happy with Hillary's vote yesterday either. And given what happened with the IWR, you'd think she'd learn -- or you might even think that she talks out both sides of her mouth -- it is hard to find fault with that position, it is one I share. But that does not mean Bill can't speak out on a different, albeit related, issue.

3. Well she has taken up for MoveOn as well so I think that makes
either her vote today or her support of MoveOn duplicitous,It certainly makes the comments she has made about wanting to withdraw troops from Iraq and he "implications? that she is against this kind of war suapect.
