1. Status within the administration.
Larry Craig doesn't mean much to Bush or Cheney. Scooter Libby did.

2. Because, in the parlance of the rabid aight-wing Craig is ...

...nothing more than a "g*ddamned f*ggot"...whereas Scooter is a "hero"...

Of course, to anyone with HALF a brain there is no distinction...they are BOTH convicted criminals...

3. Bush can only issue pardons for federal crimes
Craig was charged with a state crime.

4. I didn't know that. Thank you. Does Minnesota have a Rethug governor?
He could do it.

7. Tim Pawlenty is a Republican
But why in the world would he pardon that guy?

5. Why would he? He doesn't owe anything to Craig
He's just a faceless minion to the Chimperor. Just doing his duty. He never did anything spectacular.

Just look at Katherine Harris. You could argue that she was instrumental in the Florida debacle that gave Shrub the presidency. SHE was thrown under the bus without a second glance.

Craig is expendable, just like an evil henchman who doesn't even wear a name tag.

6. I'm sure that Scooter threatened to spill the beans if he had to spend time
in jail, plus he was part of the administration. Larry Craig has bupkis, nada, nothing going for him on this.
