Very hard to write well if you don't have a clear thought or coherent message behind what you are trying to say.
Says that SOTU didn't hold together that well cause Prez doesn't have a lot of arguements left for what he's trying to do.

1. I love Josh, but geez he was so detached & non-passionate in his

commenting, he may as well have been critiquing Bush*'s choice of tie..

I found that disturbing, even though JMM is always less emotional and candid than so many others. Is that a requirement to be asked back on CSPAN?

2. It is probably better that way

If someone appears to be ranting even though others consider it just being a bit passionate then they probably are not going to be considered someone that has anything valid to state.

Most guests from government positions are the same way.

Speakers have to speak to the audience at the time they are speaking. I am sure he would be more passionate if he were speaking before a gathering of like-minded listeners. It is to our advantage that JMM presents himself so others are willing to listen and maybe start thinking.
