1. People also need to press their leaders
Even at the County level - Does your county have a landfill - do they have a landfill gas to energy initiative - trapping the methane gas and using that.

We need to press our leaders - we need to take initiative for ourselves but we also need to press for macro reforms.

7. Yes I agree -
But as I am going out and giving my Climate Crisis presentations I am also pressing those who are the biggest tree huggers to do more and a way in which they can do that is contacting their leaders and also calling their power companies and ask if they offer green power alternatives - if not why.

I agree whole heartedly that individual action needs to take place but we can't let our leaders and the major corporations off the hook.

3. Recycling,
Buying CFL's (everything in the house), not using heat this winter (per usual; I actually don't need it much), taking transit, having things delivered instead of taking a car or cab, walking, doing a large grocery shop once per month, buying at the farmer's market, recycling electronics, using rechargable batteries, keeping "stuff" to a minimum, baking and cooking more, and not using the a/c in the summer (which is a huge deal for me.......I hate the heat.), not flying, don't drive, take the train, keep cabs to an absolute minimum, use net or fabric shopping bags, recycle my screw-top pill bottles instead of getting those safety cap things from the drugstore.

6. The numbering is messed up, so Other.
Driving much less, recycling, flying not at all, all bulbs are CFLs and I'm working to draft Al Gore for 2008.

9. It really isn't numbered.
And only limited possibillities are available. I also hate standardized tests.

11. anything else you want to complain about?
Most people are smart enough to do the numbering themselves, and if you hate "standardized test" then don't do them. I tried to have some open-ended options.

14. I did use the "Other" option.
And, granted, I'm being really nitpicky. I meant no offense. I am but a jester.
