I'm sorry, but that was a ridiculous rebuttal. Hillary is against raising the cap because it would mean a tax increase to her wealthy constituents and corporate supporters... Lets be honest here.

1. a lot of FFs make money
with other jobs or businesses. my dad is a retired FF. when i was a kid, he had a gas station/repair shop, he bought a latge old building in a blighted area and was still doing car storage/repair work. and then there was wall street investing. sure, haven't seen jack squat since he left my mom, so he has plenty of money as he didn't pay much in child support.
and a lot of them are republicans and i bet georgie on the pile made many of them swoon.

3. The top 6% make $96,000 or more?
Then why are remaining 94% of us covering their asses? Did I hear that correctly?

8. and they earn every penny!. It's a quirk in most union contracts
that pensions are based on the best 3 year's earnings out of the last 5 or some such formula. I've seen guys half dead on their feet pulling all the overtime available to up their take-home those last few years to protect a pension.

That said, as someone whose husband has done a lot of OT, take the cap off! We can afford it a lot better than someone making $30,000!

7. Several ...
generous union contracts and plenty of overtime. Many also have side jobs due to their working hours.
