I had friends that attended the event (I was @ the CDP E-Board). They mentioned the Code Pink guy distraction as a side bar. Hardly worth the effort and not disrupting of the event. KO made it appear as a big deal when it was just a blip. It appears he has bowed to the corporate interests pushing Clinton.
They both mentioned a college age contingent, (about 25), waving signs outside then hollering and carrying on in support of HRC inside. This group were seated right behind my friends. But they disappeared after Clinton delivered her opening remarks not sticking around for the Q & A. I'd love to know if they were paid to appear.
Anyway, my friends, who both would love to see Gore in the race, were very impressed w/ Edwards and his grasp of the big environmental picture. They were both still talking about in the next day, repeating details of his speech. (I have since watched the Edwards portion on youtube and their remarks are on point.) They were both disappointed that Kucinich's ideas were not more detailed. They both expected Clinton to present something more than pushing alternative energy to keep America's middle class strong. We should all know by now that without a significant shift in our consuming lifestyles, there will be a bleak future.
