Jon Kyl to become minority whip?
Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) announced that he would seek the Republican Conference chairmanship and support Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) in his bid to become the next Minority Whip, Roll Call reports, "a move that all but cements Kyl’s ascent into the No. 2 Republican leadership post."

Alexander had been eyeing both the Whip job and the Conference chairmanship after Lott's surprise resignation announcement earlier today.

2. Jon Kyl doesn't have the brains to be Cool Whip.

He may wind up higher than that, actually, if we can show Mitch McConnell the door in that Kentucky Senate race.

I'm just strongly biased against Kyl because he's usually running around the talk shows serving red Kool-Aid.
