Putting him into office is as big a mistake by the SCUSA as the decisions supporting slavery and opposing unions. I heard a lot of "We need to's".

We need to develop this, and we need to work on that.

Not the same as saying "we will", or "I'm initiating this or that".

It was a polite acknowlegement of problems, without a plan to deal with them.
