would you have to pay taxes on it..as income?

Wasn;t it New York State taxpayer money? He no longer works for NY state.. was it a gift?

When people get loans forgiven, technically THAT is considered income, so wouldn't taxes need to be paid for that money too?

What mundane uses for that money would you have?

I would certainly have someone come to my house daily and clean the cat boxes..

I doubt that I would buy a seat on a plane for my purse, or use it to have an affair with a lispy bald guy..
