:P

It's Schaumburg.

I lived there for a long while but it was during the late 80's and all of the 90's.

Why do you ask?

I ask out of curiousity wondering how it's changed over the years . I have not been there since 1976 . I have one friend left on earth and he lives near there and gives me the latest but I lived there , well actually between Schaumburg and Roselle which are not that far apart .

we moved there in 1959 and I remember Schaumburg being nothing more than school district 54's school bus parking lot , a used car /bicycle dealer and a hardware store and a few roads and farm land . A Jr high school and a 1st to 8th grade school .

3. I've Been In The Area For 25 Years
It's all grown out now...virtually no more room to build and traffic everywhere. Otherwise its still a great area to live in and raise a family.

4. Schaumburg is an especially awesome community.
I love the municipal center and what they've done with the center of "town". My dog used to LOVE walking through that area.

And taxes are DIRT cheap for residents (or at least there were... maybe that's changed?).

5. I did....
Let's see - it was from around 1967-1974. I was there for the blizzard of '67, which is still the worst storm I've lived through.

I was just a little kid but I had happy memories from there. It was an old farmhouse on about 15 acres with a full barn that was a blast to play in. As I recall it was on Plum Grove Road.

I haven't been back - I lived in Chicago briefly in the late 1980's and for some reason never checked out the old 'hood. I'm sure it's built up like crazy now.

7. how funny....
We possibly crossed paths 40 years ago.

It was a fairly rural area back then - I don't even remember who the closest neighbors were. I know we had a special school bus stop. My dad worked in Chicago but he loved that he could live in a rural atmosphere so close by. Now it's probably just another huge suburb.

those 15 acres would net you about 37 billion now.

9. shoot...
My dad got transferred to Los Angeles and sold it - I have no idea for how much, but I know it wasn't close to 37 billion or I'd be living easy.

10.  I was down Plum Grove Road a Billion times then
I had a car at the time you lived there but I went down that road for many years going to work since there was no traffic on it and you could get to Higgins Road or route 58 off after a right turn on Schaumburg Road .
