Ya Know... I Knew Someday I'd Come To Truly Regret The Hanging Of Saddam Hussein...
And as I compare the current NIE with the NIE of 2002, and all the other shit we've talked about here over the last several years, I just feel like hell for being attached to a country that would lie its own self into a war, and then use the puppet government we establish to do what the neo-cons wanted in the first place.

Saddam was a prick, an authoritarian, a war criminal, and a bastard. And he cost many innocents their lives.

But the same could be said of the war criminal now at the head of OUR government.

And we are too chickenshit to even bring up impeachment.

I am ashamed.

3. Could We Start Again, Please?
MARY MAGDALENE

I've been living to see you.
Dying to see you, but it shouldn't be like this.
This was unexpected,
What do I do now?
Could we start again please?
I've been very hopeful, so far.
Now for the first time, I think we're going wrong.
Hurry up and tell me,
This is just a dream.
Oh could we start again please?

PETER

I think you've made your point now.
You've even gone a bit too far to get the message home.
Before it gets too frightening,
We ought to call a vote,
So could we start again please?

ALL

I've been living to see you.
Dying to see you, but it shouldn't be like this.
This was unexpected,
What do I do now?
Could we start again please?
I think you've made your point now.
You've even gone a bit too far to get the message home.
Before it gets too frightening,
We ought to call a vote,
So could we start again please?
Could we start again please? (Repeat 5 times)

MARY MAGDALENE

Could we start again?

8. Everybody Knows
Everybody Knows
(co-written by Sharon Robinson)

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died

Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long stem rose
Everybody knows

Everybody knows that you love me baby
Everybody knows that you really do
Everybody knows that you've been faithful
Ah give or take a night or two
Everybody knows you've been discreet
But there were so many people you just had to meet
Without your clothes
And everybody knows

Everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

And everybody knows that it's now or never
Everybody knows that it's me or you
And everybody knows that you live forever
Ah when you've done a line or two
Everybody knows the deal is rotten
Old Black Joe's still pickin' cotton
For your ribbons and bows
And everybody knows

And everybody knows that the Plague is coming
Everybody knows that it's moving fast
Everybody knows that the naked man and woman
Are just a shining artifact of the past
Everybody knows the scene is dead
But there's gonna be a meter on your bed
That will disclose
What everybody knows

And everybody knows that you're in trouble
Everybody knows what you've been through
From the bloody cross on top of Calvary
To the beach of Malibu
Everybody knows it's coming apart
Take one last look at this Sacred Heart
Before it blows
And everybody knows

Everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Oh everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Everybody knows

5. I felt sick the night it happened -
I was just absolutely disgusted with the rushed nature of it, and the fact that his most heinous crimes were never actually addressed; those being the ones where he used some of the wonderful weapons WE provided for him to massacre so many of his own citizens...

As the Church Lady would say...HOW CONVEEEEEEEEEEEEEENIENT!!!

6. We violated the Geneva Convention by turning him over to Iraq for execution.
There must be at least six month between the sentencing and the execution. That criteria was not met. It was also illegal for us to turn him over to Iraq if they were not going to abide by the Geneva Convention. They did not. The execution of Saddam Hussein is just another Bush Administration war crime on a very long list that continues to grow.

by our actions. He did go to the gallows with a lot of dignity, and that has made him more of a hero than he would have been had he been allowed to appeal.

11. How is it that the current cabal we all know and hate
is not pursued by the U.N. for crimes against humanity? I can see reasons for our own country not impeaching (though I certainly don't like it), but what about the world community?
