Merry Christmas, wear a vest!!! Ireporters with Ipods on an escalator and some cops telling them to be quiet and follow orders.

People still go to malls? Crazy.

1. We're gonna hear about this until the after Christmas sales. I'm
extremely sorry for the victims and their families. It truly is a tragedy. But you are right, this is the stuff the msm puts on their Santa list. Maybe even worse is that I don't want to hear about it. Not sure which is worse.

2. They sure as hell don't want to dwell on the NEI any longer...
and word has probably come down from on-high to never, ever mention it again.

As horrible as it is, these things always seem to happen JUST when they're needed to eclipse another WH scandal in the M$M.

3. They seem to happen because
the M$M scours the countryside looking for them. In our 24 hour news cycle, distracting incidents are not hard to find. For example, if this had not happened, they would still be rehashing the hostage situation at the HRC campaign office.

In another example, I read a French news site which listed recent shootings in U.S. malls. There were a number of them. I had not read or heard about any but one of them. I think that is because they did not take place near me, and they were not heavily publicized nationwide at the time they took place. Had they been needed for the distraction value, they would have been more publicized.

I am sorry for the victims and their families. This is a terrible tragedy any time, but so much harder to take at the holidays.

I try to avoid malls this time of year, doing most of my shopping on-line. Now, I think I will visit a couple of malls. I refuse to give in to fear, fear, fear, terra, terra, terra. If it is my time, so be it.

4. Exactly. The stories, however tragic, are LOCAL OCCURENCES- not "National News".
They are CHOSEN for national attention based upon how much
the US Public needs to be DISTRACTED from genuine National News
on any given day.

It's really just that simple.
