If I Hear The Constitution Misquoted ONE MORE TIME, I Will Vomit

I'm watching Tweety on Morning Shmoe blathering about Willard's speech, and he keeps saying that "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" and "endowed by the creator" are in the Constitution. They are not.

These phrases appear in the Declaration of Independence, a document with no legal standing.

The preamble to the Constitution is as follows:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Nothing about creators, natural law, or a state religion.

When I was in the seventh grade in (and I don't care if you know my age)1944-`1945 our teacher had us to memorize this as part of our civics class. And I could recite it for years. My memory is hazy but I remembered the most part.....what is wrong with schools today, when back in the '40's we were taught American History...
