Giuliani: Attacking Iraq led to Iran halting their nuke program
He's right in a way... We did a big favor for Iran, and got rid of Saddam....

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2007/12/giuliani-says-i.html

<snip>

The Republican national frontrunner said "if the National Intelligence Estimate is correct" then the pressure the United States put on countries like Iran worked.

'It worked in 2003 to get him to back off their nuclear program,' said Giuliani. 'And what happened in 2003? What big thing happened in 2003? We deposed Saddam Hussein. America showed massive military force in the country right next to Iran called Iraq.'

2. I still don't understand why it's so hard for other people to do what we did in the 40s
I know that Oppenheimer and Feynman were both incredibly smart, as well as everyone else working on the Manhattan project, but what the hell?

throughout the region.

I sure hope so. He's about as dumb as Bush, saved only by the grace he is a better public speaker.

13. Exactly!
They saw what happens to countries that don't have nukes - like Iraq! They must have decided that they would rather be attacked than to have nukes. Or is it better to let everyone believe that you have nukes, get attacked and embarrass the hell out of the stupid attackers when they find out you were pretending?

I wouldn't put anything past those evil, conniving Iranians. They're trying to make us look ridiculous!
