Check-in thread for DUer's that have taken any action with Congress about impeachment
If you've called, e-mailed, written, gathered petitions, signed petitions, demonstrated or any other thing just check-in here.

I've done a lot of that, I've encouraged it here.

If you have any sensible suggestions as to what to do next voice them.

These criminals have got to be removed and held accountable for what they (that have names) have done-not find some highly financially rewarding position writing more propaganda or quietly living in gated communities.

When the message that was sent by the people via electing new leadership over a year ago has been ignored what else can we, the people do?

So if you've done something check-in here, and if you have some ideas share them.

And, just find myself getting more frustrated by both Congress and the apathetic public.

Almost every day there is more news about the un-Constitutional acts, corruption, fraud, cover ups, etc. and not a dang thing is done about it.

But, find out two consenting adults played around in the Oval Office and all hell breaks loose.

Pelosi has repudiated me as a constituent. I can't tell you what it's like to have your Rep tell you you are not their constituent.

But, it's all right. I don't know what to do right now. The right thing will present itself.

Thanks, bob.

47. Yep, massive Constitutionally protected non-violent demonstrations
and disobedience of illegal decrees are coming if impeachment and lack of prosecution of these criminals in the Bush/Cheney regime (past and present) continues along with the rising demand for correction and acute awareness of the extent of the corruption.

Yes, I have emailed, called and even went to DC this summer and lobbied. Since I live in one state and work in another, I lobby 2 congressmen and 4 senators.

I have helped collect signatures on petitions. In September, we turned in 1000 signatures we had collected in less than a month!

I also wear my IMPEACH CHENEY hat nearly everywhere I go.

And I covered up that stupid question mark before I ever put the hat on my head. Ain't no question about it!

I also wear an IMPEACH shirt as often as possible.

I even sell these shirts.

Oh if you want one, here -> http://www.wavelengthclothing.com/impeach_bush.html

And here is my newest shirt:

Same link if you want one.

22. I have. And I have a couple of ideas.

We will never get our leaders to listen to us, unless they are forced to.

I would love to see the blogosphere band together and use it's collective force to slap some sense into our dem leadership. If we could get the members of KOS, Atrios, TPM, DU and other progressive sites together and have coordinated mass letter writing campaigns, mass call-in campaigns, or even form a PAC, we just might be able to make a difference.

37. Count me in
For the past five or six years I have written to countless representatives and journalists requesting/demanding impeachment, and have signed every on-line petition imaginable. I have bumper stickers on my car calling for impeachment and for our troops to be brought home now - two demands that could get me beat to a pulp in this red state. I am beyond disillusioned and angry. Our country is being destroyed and nothing is being done about it.

I thought for sure when this country found out they had been lied into a war they would impeach the son of a bitch. I spent a month gathering evidence, building the case, citing the laws broken, submitting it to the House and Senate, creating petitions.

Well silly me. People found out and turns out they didn't care all that much after all.

And since then I've found out very few people live the values they preach.

I don't know what can be done about that.

met with my reps in person - at home and in DC. The second time I left printed materials from afterdowningstreet which refuted every single argument they had. I've used my senator's speech when he voted that Clinton should be removed from office and sent his own words back to him many times, with the message that if those words were true about a president then, they surely are now. I've stopped being polite and told them that if they don't DO SOMETHING, they are culpable and responsible for the shredding of the Constitution and the erosion of our rights, to their faces. If I could think of anything else to do to convince them, I'd do it, but I have no idea what more to do.

I identify myself as a resident of California, and try to say something nice about their service if I can. My Congresswoman is very sympatico, and John Conyers and Henry Waxman are heroes around here. Nancy Pelosi -- eh. But still.

I can't remember what incident provoked the "For the love of God!" cry, but there it was.

66. One simple thing occurs to me, we need a coalition of established
opposition groups-groups that have been attacked here by so-called centrists, special interest groups and single issue activists. The key is to truly get beyond the partisanship and factionalism-and have a coalition of diverse opposition groups such as CREW, Move On, CCR, DFA, Code Pink, IVAW/VVAW, etc.

The rallying point is our Constitution-and I'm thankful that Senator Whitehouse revealed another facet of what lies behind the facade of the secrecy of the BFEE--just like the Iran NIE and other things.

Necessity and the imminent danger of allowing this administration to follow it's arbitrary criminal traitorous agenda (which it will until removed) calls for a unified national coalition asap.

It's simple, but how can we achieve that with all the infighting and power struggles?

???

in the district.

The local effort to get the message out has slowed down some from burn out. We need help here.
