11. Hillary
Really though....

I love Hillary, and I think she would make a fantastic President, but, do we really want to waste all of our time swiping back at cons/repubs for her past? Hardball would be following every whitewater, every supposed reprimand of a SS agent, every angle of Bill's penis...I get exhausted just thinking about it. And where would our issues be in all of this? Buried behind the bullyit.

However, with Obama....now there's a person who can handle any adverse/mythical charge with a few well-chosen words. I mean...did you hear that guy tonight? The press has no choice but to fawn over that great man. They hang on his every well-thought-out word or idea.

I love ya Hillary, and you deserve to be President..but, we've got to win and Obama is our future. You'd be a great Sec of Defense or Sec of State.

RE: Obama, you should start your own thread if you feel that strongly. There are supporters here.

5. People will be bored, and they won't listen, and then, for some strange reason, they will develop an
inexplicable urge to go rafting on mighty rivers, and they won't know why.....

13. Damn Right. She should get infront of Whitewater
That was investigated to death, and nothing found. Bringing it up should only re-inforce the issue that $70 million was spent and NOTHING found.

20. Absolutely Best Strategy
. . . would be to go on the attack. Whitewater was a put-up job, it was a witch-hunt. it was malicious, and most of all, it was meritless.

It will be an interesting test of Hillary's mettle to see if she opts for this intelligent, aggressive strategy. Or if she plays it safe and soft-peddles it. Or, worse yet, squirms.

She's got a chance to show she's tough. Let's see if she can bring herself to do it.

19. Hillary will not hesitate to dish the dirt and be dirty first. she has a rovian
type guy who's job is to be dirty and throw whatever at her primary opponets. If -that is IF- she was to get the nomination, don't think she'd be the innocent poor victim that she likes to play.
she'll throw it first and be as bad as Bush and Rove.
So, yeah the repubs will go after her and with everything to remind people of the down side of the 90s.

25. Sounds good for the Democratic Party
If that's the best the Republicans come up with. I hope the GOP and its allies spends a shit-load of campaign funds pushing the Whitewater deal, because every Democratic candidate will benefit from it as it is an inefficient use of funds.

26. She should talk about how the time, energy and money spent on that sinkhole
distracted us from what should have been our major objective: preventing 9/11 from ever happening. While Bill was hunting OBL his Republican tormentors concentrated on Bill night and day, trying to destroy him.

If the pubs hadn't been so determined to get Bill, maybe, just maybe, Bill could have put OBL away. He came close as it was.
