Russia breaks U.S anti-defence barriers
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=307423

Russia has test-fired a Topol intercontinental missile from Kapustin Yar firing range in southern Russia.

The Topol has a maximum range of 10,000 kilometres and can carry one 550-kiloton nuclear warhead.

Rocket force officials confirmed the test was part of a trial of new equipment that can pierce anti-missile defences.

Moscow has recently been keen to show its military might with engineering that can defeat U.S weapon shields.

1. Hmm...so Russia builds a missile that can penetrate our non-working missile shield?
Hey look! It's an arms race run by morons.

3. For some reason, Russia has to pump up their military.

They need to waive something shiny in front of their citizens to keep them from realizing the changes being made to their government, and the reasons that life isn't improving for the vast majority of Russian citizens. They need to praise their military achievements and defend from an enemy that doesn't really exist. And by defend, I mean design nuclear warhead carrying missiles.

I'm just glad we don't do stuff like that here.

4. More great foreign policy from Bush
Everything we see happening now from Russia is a direct result of Bush. Russia was quite content to be the crappy country it is, until Bush started instigating things with a missile defense shield in Poland.

11. Be careful when comparing "crappiness"
and be careful when thinking that the entire world is structured around Bush.

6. The causative effect of American foreign policy engenders macrosocial global insanity.
We have two choices, strength through peace or peace though extinction.

What’s it going to be? This :pals: or this :nuke:

10. Russia possessed technology to defeat missile shields for decades now.
Ever heard of MIRVs? Instead of an ICBM carrying a single warhead, it can carry several at a time, with dummies to further tie up and confuse missile shield defenses. Both Russia and the US possess such weapons. Note the multiple warheads in this drawing:
