WASHINGTON - Congressional probers want the CIA to fork over two videos - "obtained" from foreign spy allies - of Al Qaeda interrogations that haven't been erased, the Daily News has learned.
The foreign interrogation tapes sought by the Senate Intelligence Committee are different from tapes shredded by the CIA in 2005 that showed rough interrogations by American operatives, sources said Monday.
"In the larger review (of terrorist interrogation programs), how these other tapes came into our possession and what they show definitely will be of interest," said a committee aide.
It's unclear if any torture is depicted on the two videos and one audiotape given to the CIA by the unidentified foreign governments. They came to light last month in a court filing.
