How is complaining about the inaction towards Republican crimes

1. we are more democratic by demanding redress for these many crimes
and we'd be really democratic if we sent their traitorous asses to the Hague too

2. lots of folks seem more concerned about covering for dem complicity...
...than they do about building a better party from the ashes of the republicrats. That pisses me off to no end-- it's blind rah-rah boosterism. We win, nothing but the names on the doors changes.

9. crime syndicate indeed!
The most fundamental principle of democratic republics is that the power to govern is granted by the people, and that leadership is accountable to the people. Protecting dem leaders from accountability is just about the most undemocratic thing I can imagine. The republican party provides us all with a current, living example of where that sort of herd behavior leads, and yet many dems ignore that lesson still.

When political parties march in lockstep, authoritarianism is the most likely result. Democracy is never served.

3. It may be anti-Democratic
but it's not anti-democratic.

If you get my meaning.

When the two things aren't in synch, you know we have a problem.

8. Demanding minimal ethical standards of elected politicians is the MINIMUM ...
... people should be doing, IRRESPECTIVE of the partisan "label" they cloak themselves with. There's not a fucking thing that assures any ideological standard for that label other than the DEMANDS of the electorate.
