Zubaydah was shot in the nuts, and they controlled his pain meds.
Then, they tried to scare him to make him believe he was in Saudi Arabia. But that made him relieved, instead. "Regarding the Zubaydah videos, harsh interrogation techniques might not be the only remarkable thing on those tapes. Could the administration once again be trying to deep-six evidence implicating their bestest oil buddies in the Middle East" Read this about the Prince who knew: http://www.asecondlookatthesaudis.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/asecondlookatthesaudisthetangledweb.pdf

1. As plenty of people pointed out
Invading Saudi Arabia made so much more sense at the time- except that we can work with The Royal Family there and get what we want, while Saddam was flipping us the bird and trying to sell his oil for euros...BIG MISTAKE!

2. Oh is that all it was. Why any American soldier captured by the
insurgents wouldn't mind being shot in the nuts and having pain medication withheld.
:sarcasm:

5. The missing link for me
that could close the circle is: what did Poppy & Bandar dicuss in their little cosy fireside chats?

I envisage that they came up with a simple idea that would advantage both of them and their base (the haves and the have-mores).

6. Here's a link to the website, not just the pdf:
http://www.asecondlookatthesaudis.com/

It has links to Parts 1,2, and 3.

7. No, it was the waterboarding that "cracked" him
I saw it on Today, so it must be true.

8. What did we gain from all this "necessary" torture?
Was anything of consequence discovered? Or was the last eight years proof positive that torture doesn't work?

Or maybe we did find out information. And maybe the wrong people got a hold of that information and used it to cover up their tracks?
