you I am working for $7/hr and don't have a tv show, so I can only share with you all my thoughts about some of my favorite things. 1. the Lehman Catalog fly shooter. Fun for kids on a summer day. Less than $5, a spring loaded thing shoots at the wall. My grandson killed a fly on his first try. Broke the shooter on his second try. I broke mine the first time I tried to shoot it, but have the hang of it now. 2. Global warming in December: 80 degrees, swimming in the Gulf of Mexico two weeks before Christmas, trying like hell to NOT THINK about the god-awful hot-as-the-hinges-of-hell summer coming soon, where peppers will not grow, but wilt even if you water them every day. 3. Rabbit poop. Free fertilize, comes with a cutie to pet and give some green grass on the way to work every day. Grandchildren adore the bunny. 4. $20 Timex watch bought on sale after Christmas. Lasts several years or until you can't stand the sour smell due to wearing it to work/play outside in the god-awful hot-as-the-hinges-of-hell summers we have in the south. It will be real cool after inundation with the sea level change coming soon, but don't think about it. For years I bought a new band after the old one soured, then the battery would die. After battery replacement, the watch ends up lost due to incompetent watchband installation down at the K-Mart. In other words, when you are on the phone and you smell a sour smell and wonder what in the heck is rotten, just go buy a new $20 watch. They may be up to $39 now. I don't shop much. One alternative solution: When I was I.T. person at a correctional institution, and was outside walking between buildings with a 50-pound tool bag all the time, watchband rotting was a constant fear, because getting involved in a problem in a mechanical room, your car pooler could be mad up in the parking lot after work, if you don't know what time it is. I decided to buy two watches, keep one baking on the dash of my truck (very antiseptic--google solar cooking) and one on the arm. 5. Books from the library. Lotta great ones. There is free interlibrary loan. Can you guys think of any favorite things?
