Here Is The Disparity Concerning The Erased 'Tapes"
At once the Administration tells us that the use of 'harsh' interrogation methods is justified by the useful information that has come from them but at the same time they tell us that they have disposed of every trace of what was said while those harsh interrogations were taking place. So, one has to presume that the useful information gained is to be used to set policy or take action against our enemy but that we have no memory of what that information might be other than the recollections of a low-level intelligence agency official possibly aided by some national guardsmen.

It just does not seem at all plausible that an Administration that has publicly proclaimed to have found the information to be so useful would purposefully destroy it.

2. Seriously, I don't credit this Admin with being that smart.

they are counting on the kind of public support they had post 9/11 and at the beginning of the Iraq debacle.

They don't have that now and the seams are starting to split in every direction--they had to get an even blatantly dumber press secretary than they had before.

Edit: Nevertheless, I'm betting there's some damning evidence somewhere--and this time, I bet it's found. When it comes to the CIA, I suspect they are at the "Exploit us twice" phase and unwilling to do Cheney's bidding anymore.

3. It would be great if someone asked that as a question during a press conference. However, since
the the official 'spokeswoman' is so dumb, she'd never figure it out.

4. Blackwater might know. Look at their tapes. Oh, that's right - they are just
handed money - no justifications, no accountability needed. GSA? What's that?

5. Exactly. Why destroy something that is useful.

6. Were the Transcripts of the "Enhanced Interrogations"
Shredded? If not, why is no one demanding that they be turned over to the Congress?
