Complicity
It's what's for Congress.

What I'd like to know is what is it that has this Congress and this government so determined to ruin this country? And this while the Dems and Republithugs, the left and the right, seem to be mortal enemies poised for civil war?

Why is our Dem Congress neutered to the point that they're not ripping the pugs to shreds for all the criminal injustice and the scandal? Why are we still in Iraq? Why the lies about Iran? Why torture?

What are they all complicit in?

I think that we're on the verge of monumental and profound civilizational change the likes of which humanity has never seen - and they know it. Thus, they play their game with us as mere pawns and/or peions that matter not.

Another, more ominous question is, what is about to change?

5. Actually the first number is 67 but I call BS
It only takes a simple majority to Impeach and that fact will demonstrate to the American people that actions have consequence. The founding fathers made removal from office much harder than Impeachment for a reason. Impeachment will be recorded in History that the Representatives of the American people found these people to be unacceptable. That will go down in history. The Senate which really is not considered to be Represetative of the people, has an obligation to consider the facts of the case but this is where partisan politics will rule out. Everyone with a third grade education knows this. It is enshrined in our Constitution but it should in no way stop the American people from expressing their discontent..

6. Not talking 'bout impeachment, though that's a fool's errand. I'm talking about overriding vetoes.

He's got the pen, and as long as that's the case, he can block anything we do. "Complicity" has nothing to do with it.

4. The operative word in that sentence is
"seem". I get the sense that there is a great chasm between liberals and conservatives. It's personal really. I really, really hate with a passion the right wing ideologies. And I would go to fisticuffs to protect myself from them.

3. Al Capone and Bugs Moran were bitter, mortal enemies,
but both of them supported the exact same list of criminal enterprises and were bent on destroying peace ad the rule of law in Chicago

7. A good analogy. But still I wonder
about the bigger picture. There seems to be something hanging in the air that's bigger than both sides merely protecting themselves from criminal prosecutions. And if it is just that, then what do they have on our Speaker of the House that would have her (not to mention Waxman, Conyers, et. al.) taking impeachment off the table?

Again, the question begs: What are they complicit in?
