I no longer live in Texas but spent a large portion of my life in and around Houston. There has been sort of a mystery involving the disappearances and deaths of women for some 20 odd years. They call it the I-45 Murders now I think. I live in Washington state now and I just read this from my local paper:
"LEAGUE CITY — A Dickinson man who admitted to stopping and questioning at least three women driving alone at night may escape criminal charges because he holds a peace officers license, police say.
But Kevin Bruce Byrne, 57, wasn’t employed with any law enforcement agency within 95 miles of League City when he made the traffic stops.
His actions have led to his suspension, resignation and a probe into his work history, law officers say. They have also left one of the women uneasy about driving at night."http://news.galvestondailynews.com/story.lasso?ewcd=83ed67cef99cb231I hope the authorities sure have this guy in their sights.
