IMPEACH Cheney TODAY! Contact your friends = 7 degrees removed & the 7th power of 7
Edited on Sun Dec-16-07 12:07 PM by L. Coyote
OVER 50,000 have signed Rep. Wexler's online petition, and counting.
HELP that climb exponentially. CONTACT your friends TODAY!

If each person contacts
TWO people, seven degrees adds up to 49 (2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2)
THREE people, seven degrees adds up to 1,369
SEVEN people, seven degrees adds up to 5,929

Petition at http://www.wexlerwantshearings.com

30,000 People Petition for Impeach Cheney Hearings in First 24 Hours

ONLINE PETITION:
The charges are too serious to ignore. There is credible evidence
that the Vice President abused the power of his office, and not only
brought us into an unneccesary war but violated the civil liberties
and privacy of American citizens. It is the constitutional duty of
Congress to hold impeachment hearings.

----------
I'm asking seven friends I know will agree to sign the online petition.
I'm also asking each of you to do the same, to pass this on to seven or more.
After seven steps, our circle will add nearly 6,000 signatures.
The magical seventh power of seven: 7 x 7 x 7 x 7 x 7 x 7 x 7 = 5,929

PLEASE pass this on to seven friends and help me add 6,000 citizens.

2. and here I thought you meant impeach pelosi and harry reid & get new dems leadership.
it is one thing to go for the long shot that will not happen, and another thing to get new dems leadership that will promote progressive ideas all the time, while OPPOSING the bush gang all the time as well as necessary. A leadership change would aid the possible while impeaching cheney is not going to happen.

3. Actually, it'd be pretty damn efficient to do both.
If the leadership is as complicit as you seem to imply, a vigorous IMPEACHMENT movement could be just the catalyst to topple bad leaders on both sides.

Just sayin'...

4. Let's first see how many signatures there are at this hour tomorrow!
Show them We the People, not just a faction or fraction, are TRULY behind impeachment first. Other than opinion polls, that has yet to happen.

If a Dem leadership struggle ensues, Bush and Cheney may get off the hook on everything.
I'm pleased that the Dem caucuses are working well, and I would not want to disrupt that.
Many do want to cripple the Dems, and they butt into our business with negativity.
In my view, Dem divisiveness only serves to disable efforts to impeach.

6. Yes, but if Pelosi and Reid ARE complicit, as so many here suggest...

...then they deserve to fall as well. I don't believe they are, but I do believe that IMPEACHMENT can be a crucible in which much truth will be laid bare. And that's good.

7. They were chosen by their peers, and have their support. That's how it works.
And, the way Nixonian/Rovian politics works is to send a bunch of well-paid ratfu**er covert worms into the other party to disrupt as much as possible, primarily by doing just what you are witnessing, to INCITE divisiveness. Those who have not been around since Nixon may not get this or have the kind of skepticism to detect it, and easily fal for it because in a big tent, it is easy to exploit the diversity of views. The ratfu**ers are professionals, work in well-coordinated packs, and draw a paycheck. That isn't easy to counter.

8. As someone said to Naomi Klein recently, IMPEACHMENT could be...
...our own dose of the Shock Doctrine to correct the system.

15. I hit the wrong calculator key. WOW sum = 960,800
Someone pointed to my error.
I really hit the wrong key.

1
7
7 x 7 = 49
49 x 7 = 343
343 x 7 = 2,401
2,401 x 7 = 16,807
16,807 x 7 = 117,649
117,649 x 7 = 823,543

sum = 960,800

Okay, I may be over-reaching, but this clearly illustrates the Power of the People.
A simple action like contacting seven other people .... really adds up if repeated.

The petition just passed 62,000!

11. You can use this to address your many friends and family:
OVER 50,000 have signed Rep. Wexler's online petition, and counting. Rep Wexler (D-FL) is on the Judiciary Committee. Three members of the House Judiciary have expressed inherent interest in addressing the bill written by Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and co-sponsored by various members of congress. Rep. Wexler is asking for people to sign this petition so that Impeachment hearings can begin for Vice President Dick Cheney. Please add your support, and tell a friend. I know, some of us sign something like this almost every week, but hopefully Rep. Wexler can get some real traction out of this. AND especially now, since we have learned that Dick Cheney withheld the NIE (National Intelligence Estimate) from the American people and the President, himself, for over a year, all the while telling us repeatedly that Iran was a nuclear threat to the United States. As you may or may not know the NIE explains that Iran dropped its nuclear armament program in 2003. Mr. Cheney would have us go fight yet another war with another nation that does not impose a nuclear threat to the world.

Click on the link to sign the petition at http://www.wexlerwantshearings. com Please, go to this web site and add your name. It won't take very long at all. Already, the web site has been up for less than 2 days, and has gained 50,000 supporters, and is growing steadily.

You may be from a different party and believe in different platforms, but this is not about party; this is principal. We are the United States. We believe in Freedom and Liberty. The Constitution and law is more important than party or platform. Violation of our law cannot be tolerated any further. Impeachment will allow the U.S. Congress to investigate, without impunity of "Executive Privelege", the scores of mounting evidence of lawlessness perpetrated on the American people and in Our good name. Please, lend your name.
