Cute, inconsequential but rather telling story of what a republican is today.
I was having a coffee at a Panera yesterday morning and the parking lot was very full. But at the end of the lot there were plenty of parking spaces. A white truck pulls into the lot and surveys the situation and decides the walk from the end of the parking lot is too long. The driver decides to park the truck IN THE ENTRANCE OF THE PARKING LOT.

For the next hour cars were stuck trying to manouver around the truck because the exit and entrance were now limited to one lane. Remember, its very busy and people are coming in and out quite a lot (at least they're trying).

Now, I have a irrational "thing" about drivers who do this sort of thing - essentially decide their own minor convenience is easily far more important than the inconvenience that dozens of other drivers will have to endure.

I decided to follow a hunch that this is probably a Republican. (Very cynical, I know). I walk to the back of the truck and VOILA...This is the proverbial picture worth a thousand words. It encapsulates the Republican ethos perfectly.

1. The sociopaths in America would seem to have gravitated toward one party.

2. Oh, let me guess... Debbie Dunwoody was driving?
I see those MF stickers when I venture outside 285 to the wilds of Gwinnetia etc. I would be ashamed to have that on my car.

You must have been out near Perimeter Mall.

4. They do believe the world revolves around them don't they..
Yesterday I was driving through the grocery store parking lot behind a guy pushing a shopping cart. He was in the middle of the "road" and I was forced to follow him for quite awhile, nevermind there was a sidewalk not 10 feet away and nevermind that he held up at least 15 cars behind me jamming the entire lot. And nevermind that he had a W04 sticker in his window. I almost parked behind him blocking him in till I also saw the NRA sticker in his window...

5. You should have gone into the shop and announced
"Does someone here own a white Suburban? It looks like it's been hit by another car, and side is all banged in." And then leave while they're having a heart attack.

Would have been even better accompanied by one of the Suburban being hitched up to a tow truck, but you can't have everything :)

13. Why?
Seriously. No one here is going to do anything violent (I really can't see anyone here doing that), but with any luck, a neighbor or relative will recognize the car, let this person know, and, if he/she has any capacity for shame and embarrassment at all, teach him/her a lesson.

15. Really?
Making sure people don't face any consequences for doing thoughtless, selfish acts? How is that the "right" thing to do?
