I'm sorry, but McCain's war hero song and dance has played out--especially when he authorized torture as the norm. Heaven knows how many young men and women his actions will impact.
Lieberman was helped by the beltway--called in probably every favor he will ever hope to accumulate to help him win re-election from the media and the politicians.
They are both irrelevant, has-beens. Seems they just haven't got the memo yet.
