It says a lot. It says enough.
Biden, Clinton and Obama all promised to stand by Dodd on the issue of retroactive immunity for the telecoms. None of them are doing what they said they'd do. I imagine that they simply think it's not very important and that the number of people they'll piss off isn't worth worrying about. They all put campaigning ahead of the Constitution.

Sometimes I really do despair.

2. Dodd is a continual bright spot in this race for me
The more I read about his platform and voting record, the more impressed I get. There are some minor quibbles deep in there, but it's really worth a look if anyone reading this is a fan of Kucinich for dedicated values and general policy goodness.

6. I've been a fan of both and have contributed to both.
They are fighting the good fight against these assaults on the constitution and accountability. They are what we say, "walking the walk".

that this will only impress me if it succeeds.

5. And despair you should!
The Dem candidates are quite the selection. Kucinich is probably truest to the ideals.

But God save us from the GOP candidates. What a crew!.

8. I called Obama's HQ and Hill's
Obama person said that he would not be going to DC as he has a full Sched. I replied that Dodd hahd a full schedule as well but he knew supporting our Country is a priority.
Hill's girl said that she did not know Hill's schedule. This was the IOWA HQ and I said that they should not book her anywhere if she could not be bothered to inform her staff.

11. It looks like Reid is folding anyway
Is there anything those 3 could do in DC to stop that? Wasn't there only 10 votes to stop the vote?

19. it matters. they all have pretty big megaphones right now,
especially Clinton and Obama. They could have really magnified the issue, and drawn public interest.

21. That is an excellent observation, and spot-on. Their voices NEED to be heard
on the senate floor. Damn them for missing this vote.

22. I agree with that
Although I'm fairly sure Obama has been speaking to this, and released a statement that is up on firedoglake. I was just wondering about the vote itself because I'm not seeing were their presence will help. I don't understand what the Congress is doing at all. Nothing makes any damn sense.

34. Yes it was 76 - 10, I am sure that is why they didn't go back, usually
they know ahead of time where the votes are and 76 to 10 probably helped them make a decision.
