A Singularly Democratic Problem Is That Our Candidates Are Upside Down
Look at our list of candidates. We have our 'upper tier' and then the others. The thing is our lower tier candidates are more accomplished than our upper tier candidates. Biden, Dodd, Gravel, Kucinich, Richardson; each one of them has more and more varied experience than the combination of Clinton, Edwards, and Obama. For the most part they are better spoken too.

As my dear old Uncle Ben used to say, "Turn me upside down and talk to my ass, cause my head don't want to see you."

1. You are right. Obama, Edwards, and Clinton combined do not have
remotely the amount of experience of any combination of three of any of the others. It is odd...

4. Go right ahead, I'm sure he would not mind
Ben was a good old boy from the high country of South Carolina. He worked at and later owned a gas station before his death, about 20 years ago now. Ben wouldn't mind a bit.

3. The DMR actually used experience against Biden and Dodd
saying their time in the senate was "too narrow" - even though they've been on top of every single foreign and domestic issue over the past 30-some years.

It shows what our culture values in a leader: a bit of celebrity, telegenics, fundraising power. The resume is secondary.
