Poll: John Edwards opens up 4-point lead in Iowa, Obama in 3rd place
From NBC’s Domenico Montanaro
In an InsiderAdvantage poll in Iowa, Edwards leads among (977) likely voters 30-26-24 over Clinton and Obama. Edwards is also the clear second choice winner, 42-29-28 over Clinton and Obama. This is the first poll to show Edwards solely in the lead in Iowa since July.

1. I hope Obama people don't get mad at me, but I seriously love Edwards.....
... I like Obama too, but I love the way Edwards talks incessantly about unions and The Two Americas.

5. Edwards deserves it. (From a Hillary supporter)
John Edwards doesn't have the media like Barack Obama does. He has GRASSROOTS, and clearly it's paying off. Congrats to John! I hope he pulls it off if Hillary doesn't.

16. He continues to make statements about the political situation
in America that make total sense. Further, he sounds like he does care about the ordinary Americans.

Polls are showing that in head to heads with each of the Republican candidates,he beats them by larger margins than Obama and Clinton.

Any of the Democratic candidates would be far better than any of the Republicans. But, I think Edwards would have the greatest positive impact of any of ours.

13. MSM is starting to create a 'fall-back plan' as Edwards support keeps surging in Iowa...
In spite of the MSM snubs, Edwards has done the hard work in Iowa, has the ground organization that is the class of the field, and has strategically executed a plan to run hard in the rural areas of Iowa.

The Edwards Campaign knows what they are doing.

14. This is probably a more accurate gauge of the way candidates are trending.
It gives the average of 5 recent polls.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/ia/iowa_democratic_caucus-208.html

Obama still on top, Edwards within 2.3 points of Clinton.

Edwards is trending up, Clinton down.

I hear the hoof beats of a dark horse a comin' on strong!

18. Dis similar polls are not more accurate
Hotline FD 4% margin of error
Srattegic Vision 4.5% margin of Error

These 2 polls questions, are not comparable.

Hotline FD

Srattegic Vision:
http://www.strategicvision.biz/political/iowa_poll_121307.htm

Meanwhile the Insider Advantage poll has a 3% margin of error, and does not include Biden or Richardson.

THe way I would poll a caucus is to get a list of voters who voted in the last 2 primaries, town council, school board, etc. These are hard core voters, not people who "say" they are likely to show up at the caucus to someone on the phone.
