Rate The Corporate Media's Coverage...
I just saw the third report of the morning of a network searching for someone/anyone to say something good about last night's speech...the only place they could find 'em were in bars. Looked like most the patrons there were pissed...they would have rather watched the NHL All-Star Game.

I'm curious what you watched and how the coverage was...lets rate the pundits...who won and who lost. Who said the most astute comment or most outrageous one. Or, maybe you're like me and watched C-SPAN coverage and were busy looking to see odd bedfellows congregating on the House floor and listening to the callers. I'd also be curious about local news or talk radio reaction...if there was any.

Cheers...

1. Stayed on C-Span mostly, but did watch Keith O on MSNBC
Chris "Tweety" Matthews was also there and Brian Williams. I found it interesting they touched on my hot button issue right now, The DemoCRAT Party. Chris said in the written text of the Chimp's speech it said DemoCRATIC party, but "little boots" just couldn't resist. Yes, I thought the little clusters gathered and all these peons trying to get his autograph -- what the hell was that all about? I did that when I saw Elvis or the Beatles, oh well, that was many years ago and, hopefully, I have put away childish things, unlike the Repuke Party. The whole lot of them are bush clones and wannabes. I hope we take every seat in '08 to go along with the White House. I think the whole world would breathe easier.

2. At Least Tweety Wasn't In Full Drool
Usually he gushes after a boooshie boy utterance about how great and wonderful it was. Guess now that the political winds are blowing the other way, weathervane Tweety is going with the flow.

I did see that bit with him and Brian Williams noting the use of "Democrat" or the Freeper spelling "DemocRAT"...and honestly, I was amused how they both focused on this after it was pointed out primarily by bloggers. There wasn't much substance in the speech...but that doesn't matter anyway to these dudes...they're superficial as they come.

It was amusing to catch Joey and how "conservatives" felt this was asshat's best speech in a long time. Just shows how lame things have gotten.

Cheers...

7. I Had A Similar Feeling
One can tell "boooosh fatigue" is setting in big time now. The expectations level on this goon is so low, the fact he didn't stumble on too many words was one of the few positive things I heard reported last night.

Add to last night's speech the revelations earlier that day in a courtroom where Chenney was implicated in a criminal hearing. While the corporate media kept hush, it was the 900 pound gorilla in that room.

The year ahead for this regime is gonna make last year seem like the good ole days. Chickens are coming home to roost and booshie is running out of ways to lie and divert his way out of his own mess. But, this asshat is stubborn, he'll "gut" it out just to show us and make our lives miserable.

3. Media receives an F-U
Media coverage is a "Failure as Usual". Local news fawning and gushing all over King George, just like a battered spouse. "This time its going to be different.... He sounded so positive...... wonderful domestic programs (if only to appease the whining Democrats)." All this while newly elected Dems stand and cheer the dictator? Post-speech clips of Hillary activate the gag reflex. Business as usual. Wish I could find even a sliver of positive news. Sorry. But then I take that back. At least we didn't have to endure the customary French Kiss between the King and McCain/Liberman.

6. Welcome To DU
"Like a battered spouse" sums it up nicely.

I was more interested in who I didn't see as opposed to who I did. No interviews afterwards with St. McCain or any of the Repugnican puppies. Seems like the corporate media is all in a lather over the Democratic primary...even though its a year away...going with the "hot hand"...Repugnicans are so yesterday.

:hi:
