The Fly On The Wall
It was on the wall in the small room just off the Oval Office. He had lit for a small respite just above the small mahogany table where the President keeps that pearl-handled pistol that once belonged to Saddam Hussein. He hadn't shown it to anyone for a few months. For a time, he would show it to everyone that came to visit him.

But it was on this day that he overheard the conversation between Cheney, Bush, couple of flunkies in Cheney's office, a couple of well-known Senators, and someone he had never seen before, perhaps a high-ranking CIA officer?

"So how's everything going over on the Hill", a Cheney flunky asked one of the Senators.

"Things are going real good right now. People are convinced we are winning the war and the Democrats look like the worst bunch of do-nothings ever. It's been a lot of fun lately."

Cheney speaks up. "We got you all over here to discuss what we are going to do and say about those destroyed tapes of the CIA... Jose here will answer any questions you might have."

"How do you want us to handle it in the Senate", one of the Senators asked.

The President spoke up, "Just keep my name out of it...We'll pretend we are cooperating with the investigations until we can figure out what we want to do."

"Jose is willing to take the blame if it comes down to that", Cheney says.

"It's very important that our Party wins the White House next November...otherwise, all heck could break loose", the President says.

"We need you guys (pointing to the two Republican Senators) to keep the Democrats tied up over there. Don't let them do too much investigating", Cheney says.

Jose speaks up. "I'll make sure all the other tapes are destroyed. There won't be any evidence left to investigate".

"Leahy is a good friend. I can keep him steered away from any damaging information", one of the Senators remarks.

"Just keep the Democrats occupied over there and I will keep the press chasing their tails...Keep Tim and Joe Klein informed with the cover story...Those dumb bastards would believe anything we tell them", the President says.

About that time Barney runs by with a dingle-berry hanging from his little low ass, so the fly flew to a new location and landed on the red phone... to be continued.

2. You may want to Google Jose Rodriguez ?
He goes back with the Bush clan a long ways. He's a good friend of John Negroponte and was very involved with the Iran-Contra and the CIA operation in Central America.
