XM or Sirius?

Do I hafta choose? Or can one radio add-on gadget get 'em both?

1. If they ever approve the merge, you could get an ala carte package and mix and match what you like.

But for right now, I'm not aware of being able to get both in one radio. They talked about it for awhile, but I don't think anything ever came to be.

3. Really depends on what you like. I'm more a classic rock guy and Sirius serves that better. My wife

is more the current hits kinda gal, so she has XM. Sirius has NFL, XM has baseball. I always thought Sirius had better reception, but that could just be me. Oh yeah, almost forgot, XM has air america, but that's becoming less of an issue for me.

4. I've had both ... but am staying with Sirius.

I enjoy their music channels more, and Sirius Left (although I do wish that they'd air all three hours of Hartmann in the morning, get rid of Alex Bennett and Lynn Samuels, and air more Stephanie Miller; BUT I do enjoy listening to Malloy if I'm driving around at night.

6. Sirius has more things that I like. I no longer have either, since I podcast

these days. But, I preferred Sirius.

Their reception is awful in many parts of the country though. XM, you can pick up just about anywhere, but they butcher both Malloy and Hartmann and put Ed Schultz on in Hartmann's rightful time slot.

Maybe when the merger is all over and done, they can have all the shows airing in their proper times unedited, using XM's satellites. When that's the case, I'll subscribe again.
